completito Day ... well almost. Review of kendo (internal, not federal). Padding

Yesterday would be a day completito had kendo exam at 10 am, then I wanted to happen to see the live-Living History Museum Military Museum (Isildurio thank you very much for telling me) in Ferrum Aliger which were to recreate the thirteenth century, and in the evening the hall of the manga (though he manga me and half and half).

But in the end it was not, the test was extended until 2 pm or so, with which I could not spend the Living Museum (it was 10 am to 2 pm, coincidences of life .: () but caught only 10 minutes from where I examined. I would go with a friend valence manga lounge, but I came home late the test, I ate so late and was late to be and go as they closed at 8 pm and was not worth it to go quickly.

About the Living Museum, I know really bad not being able to go, as especificaré in explaining the test, the time is jumped, it ended about 2 o'clock, and I even spent from where we did the review (in the sports area Blasco Ibañez Campus) to the museum to see if there was still something, but it was late '20 would be about 2.15 to 2, because the bus back cojñí it across the bridge of flowers of 2.25.

- Buhhh!! Rollero shut! and explains what was the test.

Okay, okay!.
------------------------------------------------ ----------------------

Prologue.

I've been doing kendo since February this year when I learned for free 3 days in a kendo club, but as the rates between monthly club, federation and club fee was very very very high, I went to sports area of \u200b\u200bmy university to ask the price of sports activities, and there was at kendo 30 euros a semester, an irresistible price and so I signed up, receiving 4 hours per week. The quarter was February, March, April and May, I lost in February, but still worth it, and in June will continue.

This forum is not the test. Me and my mate Samuel during a class two weeks ago. Samuel did not the test.

Indeed, when a novice is to start training sportswear, after a few months already have a level, one could purchase clothing (hakama and keikogui) in the class made a request to Korea and I caught her dress, we brought her the first week of May, when the euro dollar exchange was about 1'32 dollars per 1 euro, is now 1.23 and falling, and it cost me 30 euros just the dress (very good price. including shipping ), now the change would cost more, but certainly much better than buying directly to Spain where I could have cost about 50 euros.

The course ended in May and held a review at no cost to students of all kinds of kendo. I think it's an unofficial internal review, as some provinces are not, and so we familiarizaríamos with official examinations.

Oh well! Eye as I am something rookie, I surely wrong in explaining things.

All photos are from my partner Mapy mobile.

Examination:

He stood at 10, but between change and put on the dress (the hakama and keikogui and eye! Have to put it very well, which is an exam) , stretching and warm-ups, began at 11 or so.

I, with my colleagues from promotion, my course and we started at the same time. Mapy, Adel, me and Vicky (Mapy sister).

Examination components:

was ordered to all students who had not been discussed before (not necessarily novices, there's all alone that have never been exam) that we we put in line by age, oldest to youngest. Haha, ahead of mine had 8 people behind me to 5, and why I have 24 years, lol that viejales!.

The point is that you begin to order the test for 5th kyu (yellow, although in kendo not look belts), 4 th kyu (orange), 3 kyu (green), 2 kyu (blue) 1 kyu ( brown).
For each of them in turn requires a certain material and kendo practice time ...
And it will review the order, first examining all do 5 º kyu, the approved move to 4 th kyu, were approved for 3 and so on ....

Party 5 th kyu.

was to follow the order of the examiner facing the jury three times. Example, "advance forward, hit a wrist / kote, step back, but that said in Japanese, as part takes into account more things and everything is done my best, going to bow, well-placed steps, correct placement of the body and legs, well-run impact, get along arms, etc etc etc ...

In this test we all. Still, it's more nerves in which it was passed by simple.

Part 4 kyu.

The review was to make a series of exercises on a senpai (senior companion, with armor), in which the jury examines the skills, performance etc, what I said before, for that and I also forgot the shout, or kiai, the cries of shock, keep your eyes opponents, among many other things.

Photo
treason. Hehe. Me at 4 º kyu test. Perhaps the time of the scream or kiai, otherwise why so much tension in the shoulders is not correct, you must bring your shoulders relaxed.

In this part, and people stayed. Of my class that started when I, (4 in this review) just passed me a hand I said I'd done very well (how exciting!).
But to move to 3 rd kyu test is needed armor / bogu, and I have none, which I stayed at 4 º kyu with the rest of my fellow "promotion." To wear armor is that it takes more time (a part that is somewhat expensive, although second hand is cheaper) at least I prefer to be more formed to acquire, I have no hurry, all in good time.

must say that i was not so nervous, I concrenté in the test, it helped me get carried YME.

At the end I asked the sensei if he could leave because I wanted to go see the living museum, but said that no, I still had evidence of kata and theory test.

Part 3 kyu and above, these I can not explain since we were "eliminated", and we started to practice kata, the first and second kata (one for each grade tested).

that if students had been discussed before, were added to the last level test at the time they arrived and more were added in the last review kyu levels.
took them and started his own examination of the kata to 1 and something.

kata test.

As I said, my I had to do two katas, so we were put in pairs to each level and made the katas.
The 4 th kyu, well, we got something green. I had them learned, but a small step I learned wrong ... hehe ... and did not correct us as we practiced ... so green was the thing, flojilla, but I thought estubo well. hehe.

In this part I was not at all nervous, I was very relaxed as if it were a workout.

Viewing kata peers. Seated at the way Japanese NO hehe.

These are the 2 kata I had to do. The funny thing is that you could play on either side with which you had to know both. hehe.

1 º kata.

2 º kata.

The highest level made their respective kata.

kata examination ended at 2 least ten more or less. Then the sensei gave us your overall assessment of each, I said okay, so I "to happy." And after that they gave us the theory exams, which for lack of time we took him to make at home.
Valuations.

With the theoretical examinations in hand and with a valuation that one more.

After that, it did give them tests, and completed. I only got the proof of 1 Dan.
The 1 º Dan in your test.
The 1 st Dan posing after the race.

And further, everything was finalized. ;)

- I folding the hakama at the very end. Run run that I can not!.
- But if it was two and had finished! Why run?

It was already 2:00, 2:05, late for living museum, but at least I spent to see if he saw something, or if they were removing something, but not as Belatedly, the museum was closed, at least I saw the helicopter to and the tank they have in a museum next to the fenced backyard.

This was the Living Museum hours:
  • 10.00 h. Opening Museum.
  • 10.45 h. Flag Hoisting in the entrance courtyard of the Museum.
  • From 10.00 h. to 13.30 h. within each of the Museum, we can observe reenactors of the Cultural Association Friends of the Military Historical Museum of Valencia wearing different uniforms from various eras and illustrating response to visitors.
      • The main courtyard will be educational workshops for children.
  • 12.00 h. to 13.30 h. Throughout the morning there will be exhibitions of war games with miniatures related to the theme of the event recreated by the Association Burjasot Miniatures.
  • 11.00 h. Parade from the door of the Museum to the esplanade of the old Turia riverbed under the Bridge of Flowers.
  • 11.30 h. Staging maneuvers, combat and customs according to the time represented.
  • 12.45 h. Parade from the esplanade of the channel to the Museum.
  • 13.30 h. End of the Day of " LIVING MUSEUM " .
  • 14.00 h. museum closes.

Well again will be the Living Museum ... : (I hope to attend next time.

And leave extra following. It is not kendo, is traditional Japanese archery, and it is not seen as the target shoot or anything, just see the girl, bringing the video to highlight only the girl and her technique.

Denise Milani Masturbe

hat to breakdance / b-boying. Changing the padding.

This entry may already be raving a lot about the history and armadureo entries (of which I am weak and poor), which is what should my blog, but is that during the making of padded headgear something I saw the resemblance to the cap head spin. Wear

untrained break since February this year has been very very lazy on my part, last year the old upholstery had crumpled and went to change because I was so use it very fine, and things of life, I changed it on Thursday and now I make a mini-tutorials in which the funny thing is how to take advantage the pads.
The first picture is the old mulch as I pulled the cap.
The second picture is the difference in thickness and consistency between a padded back to the left, and padding old after years of use in which it has become thinner after holding our weight.

There are several ways to make these hats, but I explain that I was taught in 2004.

...................................

In my case, but serves to renew the padding to get a new hat too.
All this I learned from my teacher at the break, I will not say names to avoid a lot of visits from google b-boying/break the world, I prefer that it be more "private."

First of all you will need a cloth cap, if Larguita best, not those who stay at the height of the ears.

Second nylon fabric. Nylon is a good slider, which causes it to turn further. Besides, you do not buy it, you can find this material of broken chairs of those camping, we go that if you can find a heap after washing several that are as new to use. Mine's got that same, a piece Nylon was in a loft and I took advantage of for years.

Following this with the hat on his head there to see the area of \u200b\u200bthe cap on top of our head will spin. And on this part will be a square of nylon. In my case a rectangle of 12 x 17 inches, but need not be so far up to the individual.

Once cut this piece, you have to sew the part of the cap with which we turn. If you sew three sides, to allow a side on which to put the padding.

As noted, sewed the top and sides.

I did my cap in 2004, now simply took off the bottom thread sewn and put back the mulch will be equal.

padding:
Some people use it and some do not, but the truth is that hitting head turns to hair, or a simple hat, a Scottish arrived, and without padding, a short time at the top of the head can make you a stand (small area) in which the hair begins to lose strength and even there you can leave out hair and see a small bald.
For that and other things is well put padding.

In fact, I still wearing padding, I have an area of \u200b\u200bthe hair with less force, and the hairdresser note, the good thing is that this year just training and not training anything with head, my hair has returned to gaining strength. ;)

So that, for quilting, it becomes green scouring pad (I've seen who put yellow Ballestas, but in my experience the green is more compact but it stings a little bit more).
In hard chinos/20 stores for 60 cents you have a bag, and that's enough.

rectangles must be cut to fit the nylon and will have sewn inside. In my case I cut three rectangles for padding.

With 3 rectangles going well, with 4 ... too.

then put the 3 boxes together and join by sewing together the 4 corners of these, so do not move.
Or you can sew all 4 sides (my previous pad was sewn on two sides and 4 corners).

Buah, does not look good because my camera is bad, but the corners are sewn.

Once sewn, this padding goes inside the hole in the nylon. Looking rather than between inside and fit, but not on why but the padding will move and will not work.

Put the three pads to the bottom, using his hand to push below these help. The pads must reach to the end without gaps.

Once properly adjusted, you can sew a small stitch to attach the pad to the cap, or directly to sew the last side of the nylon and close and finish the quilt.

Well, and that's the cap, now turns head coach. ;)
is an inexpensive way to get a hat, there are also facts and Tribal brand, I think they cost about 15-20 euros, I spent 3 euros opens most. O but you can always turn to a helmet.

Extra: Video of turns of the head, or headspin.

was going to put a video of a pique to Headspins between 3 I saw long ago, very very cute, but can not find it on youtube: S

Coach Purses In Minnesota

Some Roman inscriptions and translation. Drawing

This entry is not intended to be informative nor born for this purpose in a blog say "slang" as mine, because it is not my intention to make a scientific paper but has the possibility and capacity to do so. ;)

other input is more or less rapidly, this time I specifically Roman inscriptions transcribed inscriptions on stone support.
Why? Why the view has Alfmogavar inscription on his blog, I've been bitten by the bug and I will transcribe and Roman inscriptions briefly explain that I had to analyze my practice and it is always much easier to transcribe and translate a Roman not a medieval Gothic script (though Roman inscriptions beyond what the Roman capital letter type which also brings them to read). Come
, hehe, I dedicate JOU also that this is going to Rome. Hehe.

The very act of analyzing a Roman inscription requires knowledge of Latin, Roman society and history, or gods, families, tribes, charges, military, society, etc etc etc ....
I could extend into account more aspects but I will not enticed by long explanations that must be digested, so you better go to the point, transcribe, translate, explain something briefly, and if in doubt do not hesitate to ask more than likely I will answer within my abilities and potential.

Well and as a personal, to me is that I have a passion for Roman inscriptions, so I'm not geek (fortunately or unfortunately) but I like to face them, are a little challenge, a small puzzle to assemble, and honestly the times I've been able to explain a peer career, I have not hesitated and I have done, and encouragement and in turn I see the limitations of other colleagues, because I know for a fact there are people who leave without know how to interpret a Roman inscription (although I do not sin of pride, that in relation to peculiarities of modern history because I'm not, things outside and stuff, to me have always liked the classic). Uyyyy
! I roll it up one more time and can not be!. If one understood

read this do not hesitate if you see me corrections necessary to expose these inscriptions in turn means for me to continue taking practice with regard to Roman inscriptions referred to stagnate with no downtime. ;) ----------------------------------------------

---- Example 1. This I did in practice in class, on a visit to San Pio V Museum of Valencia.

is a Roman inscription of the second century AD is a funeral altar.

Translation:

Gods A Manes, Marco Antonia Onesicracia Fonteio Antiteo and did so in life for himself and for his family.

Brief explanation.

Beyond what is apparent from the translation, is a funerary inscription, and as such it is seen by the D • M, short for "Dis Manibus" "To the Manes" gods protectors (like the gods Lares and Penates) who engaged the funerary inscriptions. Whenever you see D • M, if you go to a museum and you see, you know that you will be at a funeral inscription.
Although other formulas may appear non-D • M in funeral inscriptions, may be that they do not appear and display the name of the deceased and his age, or age with the verb "VIXIT" lived "or put" HIC SITUS EST "" Here lies "(more or less) and this example similar to the blog entry of alfmogavar, only that it will develop the peculiridad you have this.

Moreover, note that the two deceased have names (the Nomen) Greek or Hellenistic, as the nomen Antitheus or Onesicratia. Since the inscription is from Valencia, and this was a Roman city (not entered in their status) They be of Greek origin, probably descendants of freed Greece, which according to other inscriptions found in my city, it seems that those they had had an important weight in the political life of the urbs.

Ah well, and also support the features I describe. Question of emphasis in the translation.

... ................ Registration

2. The Blog of Alfmogavar, and since you have not been translated, the practical I do and I hope you do not mind. ;)

may in some cases may have failed (case is Accusative, Nominative etc ...) I'm not perfect, but I think not. Is that this having no literature on which to lean, and not know where it is geographically, for future reference in their respective Corpus (eg Hispania inscriptions are CIL II) have not able contrast.

Comment:

I think I should explain a bit over the composition of the Roman names for better understanding what I'm going to say next.

A Roman name consists of praenomen or what would be our name, the nomen or name / name of the gens to which he belongs, and the cognomen or nickname. The free-born had the trianomina (three names) completed. The freedmen acquire praenomen and nomen of his master (or was a slave state, took the Emperor who manumitía) and cognomen retains its name as a slave. The slaves only have a name. On the other hand
appears descent, "son ...." , "CF" "Son of Caio. And also the assignment to a tribe, in the case of the freedmen do not carry.

Well here is a freedman, is praenomen and nomen of his master, Fifth Tiburtino, descent since it appears only a freedman descent appears on your love "Freedom of Fifth" and as cognomen his slave name, Menolano.

Initially, the origin of the inscription could be italics, by the Nomen that appears "Tiburtinus" referring to the city of Tibur in Lazio Rome. But one might consult.

Moreover, it would be interesting to see what Cultrario as priesthood, and if so whether a freedman could have access. But that is because a larger study.

.............................................. .................................................. ..........................

Finally. Go look, if I have pictures from when I was in the museum in recent practices at Christmas!.

thought that I developed then was that I was explaining in the photo, but there is another easier than following this translate (things have been done before in word article without having looked at the photo.)

translation. Lucius Cornelius
A Potito, son of Lucius, of the tribe gallery, with honor aedilicio (here I have my doubts in my translation) played / was Primus Pilus, perished in the war against the Maures. Fulvia and Lucius Cornelius Valerianus Zosima his dearest son.

Commentary.

I said earlier, this registration is not funeral (I can say, but I'm not perfect) is honorable because the parents spend their son Lucio Conerlio Potito died in the war against the Maures, and his body was certainly not recovered for burial. A party does not have the formulas of a funerary inscription as the DM, STTL, HSE, nor the years etc. This type of registration, when it recalls the memory of a dead man who is not present, has a name but I do not remember, really.

As can be seen, Lucio was Aedile, and in his military career was Primus Pilus, I mean, the centurion of the first century of the first cohort of a Roman legion.

.....
And here's the photo in question:

Here I go explaining this inscription:

G · VALERIO /
G "F" GAL /
CRECENTI /
AVO /

G (aio) Valerio /
G (ai) F (ilio) Gal (eria) /
Crescenti /
Avo /

hope not wrong in translation, because the "AVO" final to be ablative and dative has cast doubt me. The "Crescenti" also makes me think that even if the cognomen.

A Gaio (Caio) Crescenti Valerio, son of Gaius, of the tribe Galeria his grandfather (his grandfather's works.)
The other alternative would be:
Crescenti A Gaius Valerius, son of Gaius, of the tribe Galeria grandfather (grandfather of dedicator not shown).
.........

Just as at the moment.

So I'll last a few notes, quickly, to see funerary inscriptions (more than these alone) is usually observed that the dead are young, I even sounds that some people put the average age of death for the 25-30 years, which is very little, and certainly can be proud of us in these times to enjoy such good health and life expectancy.

Greetings.

EDITED TO 19 MAY 2010.

Recreoanacronista Iagoba of you recommend an entry in the displayed Lucius Calidius eroticus (ok, that where I consulted put it as Lucius calidus Eroticus, Lucio Warm Erotico, lol that can lead to joke lol) and Fania Voluptate.

quote:

Go, as they are with the CIL seeks Eroticus, married co Voluptas ... that is one of the horniest funerary inscriptions I know ...

Well has been searching for google and got some several pages in which the analysis.

This is in Castilian, on page 44, is an interesting workshop manual Roman epigraphy.

http://www.culturaclasica.com/colaboraciones/lillo/taller-epigrafia-latina.pdf

This in French translation and All:

http://www.noctes-gallicanae.org/Pompeii/Cauponae.htm

Let us therefore with the inscription:

Reference CIL (Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum). CIL IX 2689.

It Isernia, Italy.

As above, it is not my intention to analyze them because I can extend it and to them it is best to do a good job of research.

So. Registration undeveloped (copied from the web version of the French, but with a slight touch):

L CALIDIVS EROTICVS

SIBI ET FANNIAE VOLVPTATI V F

COPO COMPVTEMVS HABES VINI I PANI

A I PVLMENTAR A II CONVENIT PVELL

A VIII ET HOC CONVENIT FAENVM

MVLO A II ISTE MVLVS ME AD FACTVM

Dabit

need not develop it because the only shortcut is L of Lucius and VF, " Vivus fecit "means that this entry made it in life, that made it live, while they lived.

registration curious thing, surely you know if you read the links I've been through, is that after the names of Lucius and Faina, is a conversation between Walker and the landlady (according to first link) represented in the sculpture.

So the conversation goes something like this would first talk with the walker and then the hostess:

- Flake, computemus!

- vini Habes sextarium I, panis asse I pulmentarium assibus II.

- Convenit.

- Puellam assibus VIII.

- Et hoc convenit.

- Faenum mule assibus II.

- Iste ad factum mulus Dabit me!

and translated something like:

-Innkeeper, do accounts.

have 1

-hin of wine, 1 Ace of bread, 2 aces pulmentum (soft porridge, soups).

"Okay.

"The girl (or perhaps better" girl ") 8 aces.

"And this agreement.

the mule-Hay, 2 aces.

"This mule" ruin me. "

registration is truly curious, I find no debate on it in Castilian, but it sure will be discussed a lot about it, hehe, I have not looked all that much, but surely something can be find.

The second part looks like a cartoon in which it is curious that the traveler spent on their needs but complains that spending will ruin donkey. jejeej. Which leaves me a bit "weird" is the "puella" because I do not know if a girl, a girl, a girl, or whether this pudieses be a prostitute, if I wrong, of course is that to me head.

Iagoba, apparently you've seen or tested, so will welcome your insights. ;)
